CALLING ALL YOUTH UMPIRES! 

The 2023 Los Gatos Little League season is just around the corner and the League needs experienced and new youth umpires for our AA, AAA and Majors division baseball games.  In order for the youth program to be successful, we need responsible youths who are interested in giving back to the community.

For both new and returning umpires, we encourage everyone to attend the youth training clinic. This is the best way to learn about how to learn the basics of becoming an umpire, the rules of baseball, and the on-field mechanics of officiating games.  Dates, times and locations for the clinics can be found below as details are confirmed. 

If you are interested in becoming a youth umpire and have not umpired in District 12 or Los Gatos previously, please complete a Youth Umpire Application. 

NOTE: returning umpires do not need to fill out this form as you are still in our system.

Training

The annual District 12 Youth Clinic is scheduled for Sunday February 5th at Baggerly Field. All Umpires are required to attend our mandatory trainings prior to working any games. Umpires are considered independent contractors based on their expertise in applying the rules of Little League Baseball.

Youth Umpire Clinic - February 5th from 10am - 2pm at Baggerly Field in Los Gatos

Led by our own District 12 umpire (and plate umpire for the 2012 Little League World Series Championship Game) Dan Campagnolo, this clinic discusses the mechanics of Little League and is open to all returning and new youth umpires.  Lunch and drinks will be provided.
