· What level should my child play during Fall Ball?
Fall Ball offers four levels of play,Juniors, Majors, AAA and AA.
Juniors is for kids who played Juniors during the Spring 2017 season OR who are ready to play in Juniors in 2018.
Majors is for kids who played in Majors during the Spring 2017 Season OR who are ready to play in Majors in 2018.
AAA is for the players who are ready for AAA baseball in 2017.  This may include some players who played AAA last season as well as some who played AA.
The AA level is for those players who are not ready for AAA baseball and would benefit from a skills camp refresher. This AA Fall Ball level will stress skills development and include game situations.
If you have any questions about where your child should play, consider how he/she played this past season and whether or not they require additional skill development to get to the next level. The Fall Ball Commissioner will re-assign players if they are incorrectly placed, but the preference is to have this done at the beginning of the season so that the player does not miss meaningful training experiences. Fall Ball is NOT for the first time baseball player.
· Do Fall Ball teams practice/play?
Fall Ball teams will generally practice once per week for approximately two hours.  Teams will generally play one game per week on the weekend(Sunday).
· Are there umpires in Fall Ball?
In Fall Ball, coaches and parents act as umpires.  Fall Ball is not intended to have the intensity of Spring Little League, but it is an opportunity to improve skills in a lower-key environment.
· Is there a playing time minimum during Fall Ball games?
Yes, each child will play a minimum of 3 innings (in a 6 inning game).  Teams will bat through their order (referred to as Continuous Batting).
· How many players will be on each team?
There will be approximately 12 players on each team.
· Can players from other leagues play Fall Ball in Los Gatos?
Fall Ball in Los Gatos will be open to players outside of LGLL's boundaries as long as we do not exceed the Fall Ball enrollment cap.  Players who live within the LGLL boundaries will have priority.  Those players from outside LGLL will be added to teams on a first registered, first admitted basis.  We will not admit entire teams of non-LGLL players.
· Can I request a specific coach?
Yes, you can use the "Special Requests" section of the registration form to request a coach or friend placement.  We will try to honor requests, but our over-riding objective is to balance the skill levels of the various teams. The coaches will not be selected until Registration has been completed.
· When will I be notified of my child's team placement?
You should hear from your child's coach by August 26-27th, 2017.
